EA heeft de artiesten bekend gemaakt die hun muziek in Simlish hebben opgenomen voor de Sims 3 Ambities. Het pers bericht is nog wel in het Engels. We hopen nog een Nederlandse te mogen ontvangen.

(NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced the chart-topping artists whose Simlish songs will be featured in The Sims™ 3 Ambitions Expansion pack* for the PC and Mac this summer. Artists include Rise Against with their sizzling hit ‘Savior’ which was featured in The Sims 3 Ambitions trailer, new-comer Charice who recently performed for Oprah and Lady Antebellum with their number one hit single ‘Need You Now.’ Additionally, the members of Lady Antebellum were created as Sims for a musical video trailer also being released today.

Het is heel onduidelijk geweest wanneer De Sims 3 Ambities n de winkel zou liggen 10 juni, 3 juni of ergens in juni. Nu is het officieel. Op de Engelse (Amerikaanse) pagina van Ambities op de officiële site staat nu “Shipping June 1st” Dat betekent dat we donderdag 3 jnui naar de winkel kunnen stormen om Ambities te gaan halen.
Op de Nederlandse pagina staat nog niks maar de Amerikaanse pagina is meestal meer up-to-date.
Update: Op de Duitse Amazone staat nu ook 2 juni (woensdag altijd voor Duitsland donderdag altijd voor Nederland). Dit staat ook vermeld op de Duitse EA site
Update 2: Bol.com heeft ook als release 3 juni staan. En intertoys heeft ook 3 Juni staan. Gameorder.nl meld dit ook.
Vrijdag 21 mei vind er een sneak preview plaats van de Sims 3 Ambities op het kantoor van EA. Het wordt even regelen voor ons maar we gaan er alles aan proberen te doen om een bezoek te kunnen brengen aan het kantoor. We zijn in ieder geval erg blij dat EA dit wil doen voor Nederlandse fansite’s.
Als we kunnen plaatsen we een formulier zodat we jou vragen over ambities op die dag kunnen beantwoorden.
Update 17 mei: We gaan en dat is 100% zeker dus stel je vragen.
IGN weet te vertellen dat er een grote update aan zit te komen voor de release van de Sims 3 Ambities. Deze voegt tatoeages toe aan de Sims 3 voor spelers die geen ambities hebben. We zijn dit maar weinig tatoeages en zul je waarschijnlijk ook geen tatoeages kunnen downloaden. Ook krijg je meer opties om de buurt te bewerken.
Loyal Sims 3 fans who aren’t interested in professions can still expect a lot of changes to their game, as EA is planning a huge free update to go along with the expansion’s release. The first of the major new pieces of content is the ability for players to give their Sims tattoos. Without Ambitions players will only have access to a limited set of Tattoos, but they can still apply them to their characters and other Sims. Even with Ambitions the art seems fairly limited at first, but the range of what you can do with the images is impressive. Through resizing and layering players can create some fairly realistic and genuinely good-looking body art.
Other new features free to all players with the release of Ambitions are self-employment, more options with customizing a neighborhood, and increased build/buy features. Sims who have the proper skills like photography or painting can register as self employed, making it so players who are aspiring to a life goal that links to the skill will no longer have to live with that pesky “unemployed” title. The other neighborhood and build/buy features are pretty specific sounding to the uninitiated Sims player, but trust me when I say that players who love to customize the minutia of their town and buildings have a lot to look forward to with Ambitions whether they buy it or not.
Hopelijk lost deze update ook een lading aan problemen op. Het simsteam heeft al wel flink geinvesteerd in andere bedrijven die de problemen helpen te fixen dus de kans is er.
En ik mag ook hopen dat de Sims 3 en Mac eindelijk beter werken. Zo hebben sims rare shaduwen, is er geen ingame store en staan er are strepen door screenshots. Het sims team krijgt nu in ieder geval wel meer toegang tot de videokaarten van een Mac.
Een veel gevraagde mogelijk voor de Sims is dat je Sims de was kunnen doen. Hoewel MJ Chun eerst zei dat dit een beetje onnodig was is er in de Sims 3 Ambities toch verandering in gekomen. SimGuruLindsay heeft op het forum gereageerd en gezegd dat dit mogelijk is in de Sims 3 Ambities. Het is niet verplicht maar als je echt zo wilt spelen kun je het nu doen. Hoe het precies allemaal werkt weet ik niet.
Hey guys – there will be a laundry system in ambitions! It will be optional, if you don’t want to bother with it, you don’t have to, but if you want to add some extra good moodlets and entertainment, you can choose to purchase a washer and dryer for your Sims. AND the high end dryer might have a special surprise if you watch it closely
of course if you really hate laundry, work on your inventing skill and then detonate your washer.
