Op de Italiaanse Sims Facebook pagina zijn vandaag de systeemvereisten verschenen van de Sims Middeleeuwen. Ze verschillen weinig met die van de Sims 3.

The Sims Medieval requires at least:

FOR WINDOWS XP

• 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent (this a value for single core processor. If you have a laptop or a dual or a quad core the value is different. If you have a Centrino processor on your laptop the equivalent value is about the double, if you have a dual core the equivalent is x2, quad core is x4…)
• 1 GB RAM
• 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
• The latest version of DirectX 9.0c
• Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (check your Windows upgrade if you don’t have service pack 2. If you have service pack 3 is ok!)
• At least 5.3 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games

FOR WINDOWS VISTA (and/or WIN 7)

• 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent (this a value for single core processor. If you have a laptop or a dual or a quad core the value is different. If you have a Centrino processor on your laptop the equivalent value is about the double, if you have a dual core the equivalent is x2, quad core is x4…)
• 1.5 GB RAM
• 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
• Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (check your Windows upgrade if you don’t have service pack 1. If you have service pack 2 is ok!)
• At least 5.3 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games

For computers using built-in graphics chipsets under Windows, the game requires at least:

• Intel Integrated Chipset, GMA 3-Series or above
• 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
• 0.5 GB additional RAM

FOR MAC OS X

• Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard or higher
• Intel Core Duo Processor
• 2 GB RAM
• ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 256 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100.
• At least 5.3 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games
• This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems, or the GMA 950 class of integrated video cards.

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly.

Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants may default to settings that are higher than what would be optimal for them. Graphics settings can be lowered to improve performance.

NVIDIA ION computers require at least 2 GB RAM.

The NVIDIA GeForce FX series is unsupported under Vista.

Update 22:27: Nieuwe screen toegevoegd

Vannacht heeft het team achter de Sims Middeleeuwen 4 screenshots op hun twitter account gepubliceerd.

Sinds vannacht sinds @thesimsmedieval op twitter. Dit is het echte account voor de sims Middeleeuwen. Als tweede tweet geven ze er meteen een mooie screen van Middeleewen bij. Op de twitter pagina zit ook 1 klein geheimpje. Hun avatar heet “SimsMedievalInstallerIcon.png” dat betekent dat dat waarschijnlijk het installatie programma van de Sims Middeleeuwen.

Op 20 januari organiseert EA een evenement in München, waar de Duitse fansite SimFans.de een interview heeft met Aaron Cohen, een ontwikkelaar van de Sims Middeleeuwen.

Je kan nu vragen sturen over wat je wilt weten over de Sims Middeleeuwen naar SimFans.de, door een e-mail te sturen naar fragen@simfans.de voor 19 januari, 18:00. Dan proberen zij de vraag te stellen aan de producer.
